I brought air conditioner to replace an older model of the same air conditioner.
The new model works much better than the older one. It keeps the room
much colder than the previous model. Im very pleased.

GE AHC Q10ACG Jet Engine

I bought this unit to replace a ten year old GE through wall air conditioner.
This is the updated version that fits exactly through the existing wall housing.
This unit is expensive and twice as loud as the previous defunct unit. This one sounds like a jet engine upon start up and while running. I have no complaint with the new units ability to cool. I just hate the noisy nature of the upgrade. If I knew then what I know now......I would have opted for a quieter unit no matter who the manufacturer was. Stear clear of this Jet Engine

The unit does a great job of cooling the room but it is very loud and only has an econ mode so it turns on and off alt all times. No option for it to stay on.

The GE is one of the recommended AC unit for my apartment complex and it works perfectly. I chose GE because you cant beat the quality they build into their products. It cools my whole apartment down in no time I love it

Terrible vibration and noise not happy

I purchased this AC unit to replace a 17 year old GE unit of the same size. The new unit had a very strong and unpleasant plastic odor from the time it was opened out of the box. The strong odor lasted for about a month but it still smells even now when it has been 2 months. The compressor bangs when it kicks on and off and the bang is so loud it wakes both my husband and I up immediately. The vibration from the unit when it is running is so intense that it vibrates the walls and floor of our bedroom. We cant use it while we sleep. We have to run it for an hour or so before we go to bed and then shut it off and keep our door closed to keep the cool air in. We feel it has been a huge waste of money and would never purchase another GE air conditioner.
