Excellent design

EileenK 1/6/2021

This was a huge step up from my previous bare bones range. I originally bought this range because of the induction cooktop and convection oven, but one of the features that I have unexpectedly liked the most is having two ovens. The lower, smaller oven is great for reheating food, cooking something small, etc. The induction cooktop boils a kettle of water within 2-3 minutes and has offered much more precise temperature control than a traditional electric stovetop. The different cooking zone sizes on the cooktop are varied enough to make cooking with multiple pots/pans pretty easy. The oven interiors are well made and the racks are easy to move and adjust. Thus far keeping the range top surface clean has not been too difficult. The front controls are responsive and easy to use (without coming on too easy). The only annoying thing, which is the case with all flat-top cooktops, is getting crumbs/small particles off the cooktop because of the edge!

Good features but stainless is thin

DannyV 12/26/2020

Has excellent features but the stainless is very thin and dents and scratches very easy. Stovetop heats very fast but oven takes a good 10-15 minutes to preheat to 350-400

I love induction

Vsan215 4/25/2020

This induction range replaces my open flame dual fuel range and I live it. I love it for its sleek appearance but even more for the safety feature of not having an open flame. The next thing that has me hooked is the speed at which the contents of pots and pans heat up and the ease of reducing or increasing the heat level. I can™€™t say enough good things about my new best friend in the kitchen.

E31 code, known problem ignored

KMAVF 4/21/2020

We purchased our induction range in 2013 for around 3,600.00, thought we were purchasing a reliable appliance from a reputable manufacturer. A few weeks ago Error code E31 showed up, known problem, very expensive fix (left side internal generator failure). The newer models have the same problem, obviously they don't care that consumers are spending a lot of money on this product with little return. I wouldn't recommend purchasing Electrolux or Frigidaire which is also their product.

Love the features, not the failures

BeavertonTC 4/3/2020

We bought an early version of this range (EW30IS65JSA) in 2010. Bought the 5 yr extended warranty. In October of 2016 it threw up an E-15 code. While this was definitely a PITA, the local repair shop had it fixed (after ordering a new comm board) for less than $200. Joy! This year, 2020, in March, it threw up an E-31 code. Now we have a real dilemma, spend ~$1.8k to fix it, or just get a new model? We love the feature set of this range, and use the second oven every now and then, and it is very hard to find a different brand that has the same features. All in all, we love this range, and love the control of induction cooking, but a critical failure (unit totally stops working) is hard to take. Even if it happens only twice in ten years.

Great Range and OTR Hood When they work

ScubaDave 3/30/2020

Purchased 4/24/19. As pf 5/1/19 Have not been able to utilize either unit as they were stocking me. When technician came out (Been out several times) he notices that the wiring of the plug on the back of the range had not been wired correctly as I had a 3-prong plug and it had been wired for a 4-prong plug.Next the wiring harness that is located in the door of microwave range hood had broken the interior wires that powered the controls on the display. Not sure why there isn't a better way to cover wires. The plastic sleeve they are in is not sufficient to ensure that they cannot be broken. Was instructed by technician to unplug and not use either unit until fixed. Well it's now 3/30/2020 and both are not working yet! Almost 1 year not utilizing and when I called to explain dilemma was told that Id' have to have the technician annotate that both items are not fixable in order for Electrolux to send me replacements. Well they can see from their end that my units still have not been annotated as "Fixed" yet but will not honor my request to have obviously defective units replaced

Dissatisfied1 3/28/2020

Owned for 9 years, had to replaced main board after 5 years and now another board for the stove top has stopped working and none of the burners work. Will cost around $1000 to fix. While it was a nice stove when it functioned it breaks down and costs a lot to repair.

We have had our stove for about 5 years. I had always used gas and our new home did not have access so I went with the induction. I would NEVER go back to gas. As much heat as you want without heating up the kitchen. Safe for older people, no flame. Why does anyone buy anything else?

Started of Fine but expensive to fix

Thomas Mc 4/30/2019

I bought an induction range 3 years ago and the left hand generator blew out. Called two different repair companies and both stated that they need to replace both the left and right generators. The reason, replacing just one does not work and the main control panel will still show an error. The repair cost would be around $1,700. At that price point I am thinking of buy a competitors range brand new.

Looks Great, but electronics are pure GARBAGE!

SadELguy 3/28/2019

I went through 3 brand new delveries before I got one that worked. It died after 3 years. Bought the new model thinking maybe they worked out the bugs, wrong! 2 more unites delivered, first had the error of death e15 on first start up, second one 3 out of the 4 induction rings failed with more error codes. The electronics and quality control are garbage. So out of a total of 5 units, only one worked like it should and even then it only lasted 3 years.

Broken Multiple Times, ELux not standing behind

DryBean 2/10/2019

Bought this after a kitchen remodel and it's given us so much grief. User interface board needed replacement after a year, and now it needs replacing again + the relay board. Despite them telling me that a '4 year old range' should not be having these problems, they are unwilling to provide the parts nor give us a discount on them. The one part alone is $1000 + labor. Would not repurchase and would not recommend.

Check out other reviews

Patcrow 2/7/2019

I would suggest consumers check out real reviews on other sites (like Home Depot) that give better picture of the consumer experience. They show the fragility of the housing assembly and computer boards and the exorbitant price to fix them. I would have bought something else if I had known this in advance. These smiley face reviews don't give the true picture.

Aviation Engineer 1/12/2019

We purchased this expensive range (Ew301S6CJSC) in Nov. 2013. We used this range every day, including regular use of the both ovens. On Christmas day, we got the dreaded E- 31 readout...total loss of the burners. Completed dinner on the BBQ. Electrolux Canada quoted me $788.00 (tax incl.) for a new L/H generator circuit board. (Re-setting main house circuit breakers...no help) An outrageous price for an electronic panel. Can't find anyone to repair the board. Electrolux should have an exchange program for the boards by now, since it seems to be an on-going problem. Now cooking on a small mobile induction panel ($64.00) I might as well get four of them to replace the main burners....would only cost $240.00 instead of the $788.00...a bargain. Problems like this, are the main reason many on this review site would never purchase from this manufacturer again. Electrolux needs to address these many electronic failures with less expensive boards!

We purchased a similar model; EW30IF60ISA May 2011

Cardiolou 10/25/2018

We absolutely love how the induction range cooks.....until it didn't!! We purchased this range because of the wonderful features and how it cooked like a gas range. We only had an electric option and really wanted the option of a gas like range so after some research and talking to some friends who have an induction cook top, we made the purchase for our seasonal home in Maine. Well after only 7 years and infrequent use with maybe 100 hours of actual cook time on the range, we now have "error codes" E 14, and the entire range no longer works. After a call to our local Appliance store where we purchased the range, they called for the part which was $1500 not including the labor and time to fix the problem. So I called Electrolux directly to see if I could plead my case.I must say the Electrolux customer service person, LaTisha, was very helpful and asked me to find the part number that was to be ordered to see if Electrolux price of the part(s) might be less through them. After reading and reviewing the reviews and seeing many others have had similar issues, we are aborting our plans to fix this range and will go to alternative choices for a range. I am very disappointed in this decision. The customer service person did tell me that this issue was likely due to power surges due to power outages that unfortunately are not infrequent on the coast of Maine. I only wish I would have known that prior to purchase or would have been warned to put a power surge protector on my electrical panel to protect my very expensive range.Buyer beware and make sure your do your homework prior to purchase. Ask about the effects of power surges and how to best protect your investment.

Poor fit and finish - love the induction -

disappointedxxx 9/7/2018

purchase about 4 weeks ago -- right after the delivery - less than 1 hour old - bottom drawer doesn't shut without lifting up on one side. Oven door and bottom door scrape on each other. Oven door scrapes against side curtains(slide in type range) - counter top damaged on delivery - transition from the range top to the top of the oven does not fit correctly - leaving a sharp edge on the front of the stove where you stand while cooking -- retailers comment "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" -- and proceeded to set up appointment for technician to look at it. that looks like it might happen next week.Had purchased Electrolux range and fridge in the past - very pleased so when another range was needed came back. I think might have been a mistake.

Great While Under Warranty!

RaptorScrew 8/6/2018

I wanted to spare no expense when we purchased this unit! Love it! - However, now that it's out of warranty, the stovetop keeps beeping "E 15" at us and we are unable to use the cooktop. We must go to the utility room and trip the circuit off to turn off the stove or it will keep beeping at us. When we want to use the stove / oven we have to turn the circuit back on and "HOPE" that the cooktop has reset itself. I've been told there is a POSSIBLE fix but it only works part of the time. I've been told that it is about a $950 repair and we HOPE it fixes the issue otherwise we have to try something else. No what I was expecting by spending over $3500... When it worked right it was the BEST EVER!!!

Happy and sad

Loved and lost 2/20/2018

Bought the slide in range w/two ovens a little over 4 years ago. I have LOVED both the cooktop and ovens. Sleek design is easily cleaned. Features are wonderful: two timers, many presets, Power Boil. But I'm so sad to say that a recent needed repair priced us out of making that repair (and of course we are not in warranty). I realize that the life expectancy of any large appliance is only 5-8 years, but I would have liked it to have lasted closer to that 5-yr mark for such an expensive range. Unsure if I can recommend it. 5 stars for the range; 3 for the life expectancy. Just a note to others, some magnetic cookware is better/faster than others on induction. My advice is to try a small fry or sauce pan first before investing in a whole set. Some just work faster than others. Don't cheap out on your cookware.

We purchased our first Electrolux range 3 years ago. One burner did not work. Come to find out it wasn't plugged into the main board. Two years later it blew the circuit board and we lost use of the range top. Oven still worked. After three trips by repairmen, the store decided to replace it with a new range.I love the induction stove top and the convection oven. This model's oven looks to be easier to clean. Now to improve the control panel for easier cleaning.

I have bought 4 induction stove from SearsKeep having problem with the control board with three or more cooking element cooking at the second time. The generator and filter board can not handle the cooking voltage and the breaker will trip and fry the control board. The first time with in factory warrantee. But now it happened again today due to cooking all three elements at the same time and rest assure the breaker was tripped. Error code 35 and 75 was codes. Same as last repair. Researched online This is a very common problem due to the design and internal component design. I love the design but it's not for regular cooks or large families. I bought 5 year extended warrantee from Sears. But now they are gone. I wishes electrolux could do some thing for me.

Induction failed after many temporary fails

unhappy in Long Isla 10/14/2017

Nice looking stove - but failure rate of my induction cooktop mirrors they many other owners who posted negative reviews online. We all seem to share very similar experiences of the induction cooktop beginning to get the F## Error codes. This results in everything from 1hr to several weeks of downtime of the cooktop being out of service. This all happens during the first 3 years of ownership. This behavior finally results in the permanent failure and the dreaded E31 error code, which is the final nail in the coffin - and a $1500 repair. I bought 3 appliances and all 3 need replacing within a few years.Zero customer service, your just directed to 3rd party repair companies who show up and have absolutely have sheer contempt for the Brand and the induction stove. They have nothing good to say about Electrolux. I wish i spoke to them before I bought my appliance.

I love this range. I started with the smaller one and will never go back. It cooks evenly and FAST!

Highly unreliable to say the least

frustrated_customer 9/12/2017

I bought a previous model in the slide-in induction series and have nightmares. The electronics of these units is poorly designed and can give you a random error code that is extremely hard and expensive to fix. Out of our 4 years of ownership we have spent 8 + months in down time where it could not be used, in addition endless hours of frustration with service technicians and our extended warranty customer care. Our extended warranty has now maxed out its liability and we we are left stranded after buying such an expensive product. An attempt to seek a minor compensation from Electrolux falls into deaf ears. Quite simple they do not care about their customers. Buyer beware. The electronics of electrolux induction ranges is sub par and highly fickle.

I love this stove!

The induction cooktop is very quick to heat up and very responsive to changes. It's easy to keep clean and better than gas! The oven is a bit small, but worth the trade-offs.

Quality Assurance Appears To Be Non Existent

Not A Happy Camper2 8/9/2017

My first EW301S80RS was delivered May 28, 2017. The wave touch panel on front of stove did not meet and there were sharp edges. Electrolux said could not be repaired, had to be replaced. I was able to use it and I loved it but I did not pay that much money for a defective stove. The second EW301S80RS was delivered on July 10, 2017. It had an F15 error code. I could use the stove top of the range, I could not use either oven. I am now waiting for the third EW301S8ORS to be delivered on August 17, 2017. I am not a happy camper.

The Best Range Ever

TINKER 8/7/2017

I've had my range for over 10 years. The perfect turkey button works to perfection. The induction cooktop is a pleasure to cook on. The only disappointment is the oven racks need to be removed when cleaning the oven. It appears they have solved that problem. Now i'm envious.

I bought this oven several months ago. I wanted time to use before I review the products. I LOVE IT!!! It is so easy to use and cooks everything perfectly. I love the fast reaction time on the stove top (going from high to low). My only complaint would be the glass top, in that it doesn't go completely under the stainless steel trim, and food and dirt get caught and it makes it a little more of an issue to clean. I don't understand why this is. I thought it would be a completely smooth cooktop to the edges.

Good features

Bought it 3 months ago. Had to have it serviced, the left cooking elements would not work. One week for replacement part to be installed. Other wise the range does as advertised. The oven light control switch should stay lit to indicate that the light in ON.

So absolutely disappointed

onemiep 4/26/2017

My induction slide in was the pride of my kitchen, I loved it so much and the sales people convinced me it was the best one and worth the additional $ over other brands. I loved the look of it and even cut the corners on my kitchen drawers to make it work and fit properly in my kitchen. In October, exactly 3 years after installing it, I started getting error codes, e15, then e7. I called the store where I bought it and they recommended resetting the breaker. It worked. I was elated. Then a month later, the error codes started up again, locking me out of the burner controls. Sometimes I would reset the breaker and things would be ok, sometimes the range itself seemed to reset or time out, and work again, until last Saturday, when I got an e21 code, that would not reset at the breaker or on its own. I called Aptco for a repair estimate and they said the part alone would come to more than $1100! Add labour to the top of that and I am halfway to a whole new range! I have only had the range for 3 years, am not an avid cook so it has likely seen less than 1 year of average use in total, and I am looking at a total bill of over $1500!When I searched on google, the number of people experiencing the same issue was mind boggling. How can a company not stand behind their product like this. I have so little confidence in this not happening again that I am thinking I might just throw in the towel and go with a different brand altogether. I would do the repair if I had any confidence at all that the fix would hold, but the repair guy said that if the issue is the engineering of the appliance, then yes, the same thing could happen again. SO DISAPPOINTED. It is a beautiful box with a huge carbon footprint and has seriously soured my expectations of the brand.

Disappointed!

gott 4/20/2017

Bought a house that had 4 Electrolux appliances in the kitchen only 4 years old. Everything worked great for the first few weeks. Then the dreaded E 15 on the range! Which after reading other reviews seems very common. Very frustrating that the whole thing shuts down. The light on the microwave clock and cooking instructions is so dim, its unreadable. now looking at very expensive repairs. Very disappointed with Electrolux- would not purchase or recommend.

Error E31 - Cooktop failure.

IGotALameCooktop 4/2/2017

The Cooktop board shorted out on a prior model, used less than 4 years. A loud pop under the cooktop with a light flash, and an electronic burnt smell. It'll be best to get some kind of extended warranty for this. Not happy with their design.
