I noticed this range had a good rating on Consumer Reports. Since I was in the market for a new range I decided to check further and found Amazon had one of the ranges and checking around more price reliability quality I decided to purchase this range. This range works fine and Im pleased with it. Only one thing I should mention. When I lean over to check the back burners sometmes this touching or rubbing turns on the burners or changes the setting I wanted.

This oven is about 4 years old but spent the first three years sparingly being used and remained in a like-new condition. Weve started using it this year and it is now barely functioning. The stove burners do not seem to operate as dialed 10 heat turns itself on/off like you expect a 3 would low settings sometimes stay lit the entire time. The stove hot light is not working. The oven mode select knob is out of alignment so that whatever mode you select is not the one displayed on the control panel and the knob requires extra clicks just to move to the next function. Most frustratingly the plus button on the oven does not work so I can only cook at 350 low broil or high broil. I am unable to adjust the temperature above 350 or set a timer. This issue can be fixed for about 30 min by cutting the power to the oven then turning it back on after an hour. Customer service was unhelpful in diagnosing/resolving the issues.

LG Electric Oven Switch broken

Repair misdiagnosis 1/27/2024

Due to erroneous report from LG repair Alabama company technician. I havent been able to use my electric oven for 3+ weeks. LOWES WARRANTY DEPARTMENT ASSURANT SERVICE PROTECTION INC REFUSES TO REPAIR MY OVEN BASED ON FINDINGS WRITTEN BY THE TECHNICIAN Techican came out to my home on 1/15/24. He said the oven knob was broken and needed replacing he took of the panel then proceeded to order parts. He was scheduled to replace the parts on 1/18/24 this is when I was informed that the Warranty department considered this to be neglect on my part therefore not covered under warranty. So let me understand this Im going to pull of oven panel break switch then call for a repair. ONCE AGAIN I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO USE MY OVEN Lowes Warranty Department had another repair company Accurate Repair Svc come out and they discovered it had nothing to do with the knob in fact it was the switch inside the panel that had broken off and needed to be replaced. Again my repair was denied by Lowes Extended Warranty company.

Bought it 3 years ago. The oven gave us an F3 code had a service guy come out. He said it needed a new circuit board and that LG doesnt make them anymore nor do they make that part. Therefore we needed a new oven. We were very disappointed and wont buy LG appliances again

Cant use oven

We bought the electric range from Electronic Express in June of 2019. We only used the oven function less than half as much as we used the stove the 3.5 years. To our surprise the oven control knob fell off. We were more surprised by the material of the knob internal including the stem. It is a piece of plastic even though the knob itself is stainless steel. I also found more complaints of the same issue on the internet. The sudden yield of the knob internal material is likely due to either due to defect or inappropriate selection of the material. It should never happen to a 3.5 year old range-oven. The oven only came with a one year warranty which blows my mind. Now Im struggling trying to find someone to fix my oven for a reasonable price. I wish I wouldve done an extensive research on this product and LG products. BTW my lg refrigerator stop working too in 2022 luckily that was still under warranty. Ive never made so many issue from one brand.
